Karen McLaughlin, CGFM

At the AGA National PDC held this year Karen took, and passed, all sections of the Certified Government Financial Manager examination! Karen was also a recent recipient of the Financial Management Transition Team Achievement Award for outstanding support for the successful NASA Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transition team.

Karen is Chief of the Accounting and Financial Analysis Division within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at NASA Glenn Research Center. Karen has worked at NASA since 1992, when she started as a cost accountant. In addition to holding various accounting positions, she has been involved in NASA-wide accounting system development and implementation projects.

Karen earned a Masters in Accounting and Financial Information Systems from Cleveland State University and a BS in Business Administration from John Carroll University. She has also served on the AGA Cleveland board as Community Service Chair.
