On October 1st, AGA Cleveland joined the American Diabetes Association at the downtown Galleria for Cleveland's annual Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes. Despite the torrential rain, those who attended the event had a fabulous time. Participants in the walk received breakfast and lunch while enjoying music and the company of fellow volunteers. NBC's 2010 Biggest Loser contestant Aaron Thompkins from Kent, Ohio was also in attendance. Walkers and Volunteers from AGA Cleveland were Maria Wilson, Elizabeth Ladiha, Michael Hoffman, Nathaniel Hoffman, Michelle Corrigan, Diavion Brown, Shirrell Brown, and Cynthia Allgood. Members also contributed funds during the September AGA luncheon that aided in the effort to help STOP DIABETES® as they have surpassed our goal of $30,000.
