AGA volunteers with 90.3 WCPN

On March 15th four AGA members volunteered their time to assist 90.3 WCPN
with their pledge drive. Jason Denmeade, Shelbie Skinner, Andrew Daniell, and Patrick Millane answered phones during a three-hour shift at WCPN's downtown office. WCPN is a member station of National Public Radio that recently partnered with WVIZ to create a multimedia organization called Ideastream. WCPN holds various pledge drives throughout the year to raise money to continue it's commercial-free programming.
During our shift we were able to witness many acts of generosity. A number of people called with $500 donations while others opted for a monthly payment plan. It was amazing to hear just how excited these donors were in supporting their favorite radio station! Jason even had the chance to go live on the air to answer questions from a WCPN staff member. The AGA members had a blast helping WCPN continue its mission of providing informative programming. We wish the staff at WCPN best of luck with future pledge drives, and look forward to working with them in the future
