Our president, Jason Denmeade and his lovely wife, Frankie, were models for the day on September 16, 2006, in a Cool, Smooth and Jazzy fashion show. The show benefited the Gloria Pointer Teen Movement Scholarship which raised over $11,000.

Gloria Pointer was a beautiful 14 year old girl who's life was tragically taken from her on December 6, 1984 when she was raped and murdered.

To date her murder has never been solved.

Since the death of her daughter, Yvonne Pointer has worked tirelessly throughout the community and nation as an advocate for child safety. For her efforts she has received numerous honors, including the induction into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame and the 2001 Essence Award. In 1990, the Gloria Pointer Scholarship Fund was established in Cleveland, Ohio to assist students in pursuing their educational goals. Recipients of the scholarship receive a one time contribution of $1,000.00 to use toward their college expenses .
